Pavel Palazhchenko

Palazhchenko was a high-ranking conference interpreter in the former Soviet ｕｎｉｏｎ who served as Chief English interpreter for Mikhail Gorbachev and Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze between 1985 and 1991.

Palazhchenko是前苏联高级会议口译员，在1985年至1991年期间曾担任前苏联总书记戈尔巴乔夫Mikhail Gorbachev及苏联外交部长Eduard Shevardnadze的首席英语口译员。

Speaking from his own experience, which include working for international organizations in the 1970s and later, Palazhchenko considers the evolution of the profession and its prospects going forward. The talk also considers machine translation and the issues this brings.
